Do you take pride in writing clean, well-structured code regardless of the framework it sits in?We are seeking a talented Web Developer to join our web team, focused on the bespoke development and ongoing evolution of our eCommerce platform. You'll be working primarily within our established PHP codebase platform, integrated with our ERP software, that powers live customer online businesses. As we evolve the platform, there will be increasing opportunities to work with modern frameworks, new architectural approaches, and fresh tooling as we continue to invest in our stack.This is a hands-on development role for someone who is comfortable with legacy code, takes ownership of the features they build, and wants to work collaboratively with our web manager and customer base.Responsibilities Develop and extend bespoke backend functionality for our eCommerce platform using PHP and MySQLBuild and maintain custom features that enhance the online store experience for our customers' end usersWrite clean, well-tested, and documented code, including in existing legacy codebasesInvestigate and resolve complex technical issues in production environmentsParticipate in technical discussions and contribute to decisions about how we evolve the platform over timeCollaborate with the web manager and product team to continuously develop the platform quality and capabilityKey Skills PHP 8+MySQLJavaScriptHTML/CSSVersion control (Git)Preferred Skills Laravel or similar modern PHP frameworksReact or other modern frontend frameworksGraphQL or REST API experienceTypeScriptExperience with eCommerce platforms or familiarity with eCommerce data modelsFamiliarity with automated testing practicesBenefitsOur staff work hard, and we appreciate their commitment.
