Primary ResponsibilitiesThe AWS Developer is primarily responsible for:Assisting the company to develop a user friendly, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based solution to support its growing logistics business operations. With the aim of providing a fully integrated solution capable of supporting all current business processes: From nurturing new business, through monitoring their progress through the sales pipeline, to the management of all company orders (Transport, Warehouse, Recovery, Customs, or Combined Orders) and the maintenance of an accurate billing system.It is essential that The Languages / FrameworksPHP 8LaravelVue / LivewireTerraformAWSAdditional Responsibilities - To delivery this primary objective the successful candidateMust be capable of fully understanding the current application infrastructure used by Lobina and must be capable of critical evaluation of its suitability, coming up with recommendations and/or suggestions to change or improve it.Must interact directly with business users to understand their requirements and ensure that their needs and expectations are fully metMust collaborate with key stakeholders around documentation and processes regarding recurring issues following any new service updatesWrite and maintain robust, clean, and efficient code.Manage AWS environments, including setup, monitoring, and optimization.Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services and infrastructure.Stay current with new AWS services and features and recommend improvements to existing architecture.Manages technical communication with external Partners.Ensuring standards-compliant web development to ensure accessibility and future compatibility of the website front endProvides input on functional requirements and participates /presents review code in code review sessionsIdentifies and diagnoses areas of maintenance and process improvementUsing a relevant software languages/ framework (PHP 8, Laravel, Vue / Livewire, Terraform, AWS) develops/ executes unit test cases and tests software applications that fulfil functional specificationsIMS Responsibilities:· Are accountable to the Director for the effective implementation of Lobina Transport Services Policies.· Managers, etc. shall appraise the Organisation and Arrangements at regular intervals, make necessary changes, and bring notice of any changes to the Director and other staff as required.· Shall ensure that persons reporting directly to them know of their responsibilities and are competent to discharge their responsibilities.· Shall ensure that Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment procedures are developed, where relevant, and implemented in conjunction with the Director.· Shall investigate complaints by customers.Health and Safety Responsibilities:Managers have the responsibility to provide leadership and to promote responsible attitudes towards health and safety. Managers are responsible for managing health, safety & environmental risks within their departments, specifically Managers must have a system to ensure risks are identified and safe controls or systems are implemented within their area of responsibility.Ensure that each new employee is given induction training, including the precautions and procedures appropriate to their specific jobs and the location of first aid boxes, fire exits and fire-fighting equipmentEnsure that all staff are made aware of the procedures in place if they face any serious or imminent danger and the name of the competent person designated to implement those procedures.Ensure that all staff for whom they are responsible understand the health and safety policy, risk assessments and their personal responsibility for health and safety.Ensure that any temporary employee, before he or she commences work, is supplied with information about any special occupational qualifications or skills required in order that the work can be carried out safely.Keep up to date with health and safety matters within the organisation.Investigate all accidents with the assistance of the competent person and with a view to prevention in the future.Ensure good housekeeping standards are applied.Where appropriate, review periodically all new and existing equipment to ensure safety, including inspection, maintenance, and training.Carry out regular safety checks and audits.Demonstrate, promote, and encourage positive attitudes and behaviours to develop and promotive a positive health and safety cultureContinuously strive to improve health and safety performance within their area of responsibility.Other responsibilities include:Manage any additional provision necessary for example for young staff, expectant mothers, or injured staffJob Type: PermanentPay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionFree parkingPrivate medical insuranceEducation:Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)Experience:software and web developing: 3 years (required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ilkeston DE7 4BR
